A Constitution should replace the British Monarchy

aoeuaou
The people of Britain should decide what its essential character should be; what our basic rights/freedoms/obligations should be. The Monarchy's role and value are not clear and little understood by the average person. Their duties are carried out by people who are not democratically elected and/or who are chosen by their genes not their suitability for the job.

A constitution is not a person, but a collection of agreed principles. How it is enacted is for the public to decide.

What's the alternative though? Some elected career politician? A president Blair? Although the current system isn't the fairest thing ever created on paper, it does actually work pretty well, so I'm inclined to say keep it.

i thought we had a constitutional monarchy ... we actually just need to change all the systems: the monetary system, the financial system, the banking system, the fiscal system, the tax & benefits system, the voting systems, ... & the representation system (to be lead by direct democratie) ... (we can leave the Queen/Royal family, there, as long as there costs are compressed), austerity only on the rich, the poor need a better, fairer deal, and the lower middle class too.
